Fire Safety

The Owners Corporation, through its Strata Committee and its authorised fire safety contractors, is legally responsible for ensuring that the building meets compulsory fire regulations at all times. Safety is paramount and we very much appreciate your help in keeping The Venetian a safe environment.

Fire doors are fitted with automatic closers and these must not be removed.

Fire doors must remain closed and must not be obstructed.

You may not fit your own lock to your front door. If you do, it will need to be certified by our fire compliance vendor at your cost. Unfortunately if you do fit your own lock it will be removed and you will be charged - we incur escalating fines starting at $1,000 for the first week, rising to $2,000 for the second week etc if our building does not meet the fire safety standards.

Under no circumstances can personal items be stored in any fire cupboard.
